Couple Arraigned on Sealed Indictment for Multi-Million Dollar Mortgage Fraud Scheme and Conspiracy – District Attorney P. David Soares today announced that NIKOLE SUTLIFF, A.K.A. NIKOLE RILEY, 32, and STEPHEN SUTLIFF, 37, both of Kirby Drive in Saratoga Springs, NY, were arraigned in Saratoga County Court this morning on a sealed indictment consisting of (9) counts of Grand Larceny in the Second Degree, a Class “C” Felony, and (1) count of Conspiracy in the Fourth Degree, a Class “E” Felony.

Albany Man Receives 5 Years for Assaulting Police Officer – District Attorney P. David Soares today announced that JARQUELL WILLIAMS, 23, of Albany, NY, was sentenced to 5 years in prison and 5 years post release supervision for Assault in the Second Degree, a Class “D” Violent felony, and Resisting Arrest, a Class “A” Misdemeanor, by the Honorable Judge Dan Lamont.

Albany Man Sentenced to 12 Years in Prison for Cocaine Possession – District Attorney P. David Soares today announced that JERMAINE HICKS, 32, of Albany, NY was sentenced to 12 years in prison and 3 years post release supervision by the Honorable Thomas Breslin. HICKS must also forfeit vehicles used during the commission of his criminal acts.

Three Albany Teens Arraigned in Bailey Homicide
– District Attorney P. David Soares today announced that DEVON CALLICUT, 19, KING MODEST, 17, and RICARDO CALDWELL, 18, all of Albany, NY, were indicted by the Grand Jury on a five-count sealed indictment Friday, September 18, 2009.

Second Woman Pleads Guilty to Horrific Kidnapping of Albany Woman – District Attorney P. David Soares today announced that SHARON STAPLES, aka “Shay,” 21, of Troy NY, pled guilty to (1) count of Attempted Kidnapping in the Second Degree, a Class “C” Felony in front of the Honorable Thomas Breslin. In accordance with the plea bargain, STAPLES will receive no more than 6 years and no less than 3 ½ years in prison when sentenced December 9, 2009.
