David Bryan Indicted for Stealing Over $300,000 from Local Charities – District Attorney P. David Soares today announced the (4) count indictment of DAVID BRYAN, 53, of Rensselaerville , NY . BRYAN was indicted on (3) counts of Grand Larceny in the Second Degree, a Class “C” Felony and (1) count of Grand Larceny in the Third Degree, a Class “D” Felony.

Stephen Wieland, SR Pleads Guilty to Larceny – Albany County District Attorney P. David Soares announced today that STEPHEN WIELAND, SR, of Bethlehem , NY , pled guilty to (1) count of Petit Larceny, a Class “A” Misdemeanor. In accordance with the plea, WIELAND paid restitution and fines and resigned from his Company Chief position at the Selkirk Fire Department.

David Soares today announced that ANTHONY MICHAEL LOGUE, 16, of Saratoga Springs , NY pled guilty to (1) count of Robbery in the 1 st Degree. Under the terms of the plea bargain, LOGUE is expected to serve 7 ½ years in prison.

Dare Indicted on Four Counts For Real Estate Scams – Albany County District Attorney P. David Soares announced today the indictment of AARON DARE, 37, of Albany, NY, on (2) counts of Forgery in the Second Degree, a Class “D” Felony and (2) counts of Offering a False Instrument for Filing, a Class “E” Felony. DARE is being held pending bail in Albany County Jail.

McKnight Sentenced to 30 Years for Attempted Murder – District Attorney P. David Soares today announced that PETER MCKNIGHT, 46, of Colorado , was sentenced to 30 years in prison and 5 years post release supervision for the attempted murder of two victims and a period of one to three years in prison for attempted escape by the Honorable Stephen Herrick. In July, MCKNIGHT pled guilty to (2) counts of Attempted Murder in the Second Degree and (1) count of Attempted Escape in the First Degree.

David Soares announced today that CARLTON PHOENIX, 46, of Albany , NY , pled guilty to (1) count of Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree, a Class “E” Felony. In accordance with the plea bargain, PHOENIX faces a maximum of two to four years in state prison.

David Soares announced today that RAQUAN CHANEY, 20, of Albany , NY , pled guilty to (1) count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree, a Class “C” Armed Felony in front of the Honorable Thomas A. Breslin. In accordance with the plea, CHANEY faces no less than eight years and no more than nine years in prison.

Albany Burglar Sentenced to 25 Years – District Attorney P. David Soares today announced that PHILLIP MORRIS HENRY, 26, of Albany , NY was sentenced to 25 years in Prison. In August, HENRY was found guilty after a jury trial of (5) counts of Burglary in the Second Degree before the Honorable Stephen Herrick.
