Office of the District Attorney P. David Soares ALBANY, NY –District Attorney P. David Soares announced that Richard Pannitti, 51 of Watervliet, NY plead to (4) counts of Sexual Abuse in the First Degree, a class ³D² felony in front of Judge Stephen Herrick. Earlier this month, Patricia Keim of Watervliet had pled to Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a class ³A² misdemeanor. KEIM will be sentenced in late October. In June of 2006, KEIM and PANNITTI were indicted by an Albany County Grand Jury. Each count involves a different child. The original indictment alleged the abuse spanned over the course of 5 years. PANNITTI will be sentenced on November 14, 2006. He faces up to 20 years in prison. District Attorney Soares was satisfied with the plea. ³Mr. PANNITTI will spend significant time behind bars and away from children. The abuse these children have gone through can never be fathomed.² Soares stated today.
