Office of the District Attorney P. David Soares Justin Landauer Indicted on 5 Counts including Manslaughter for DWI death of Gary Lehmann ALBANY , NY – District Attorney P. David Soares announced that JUSTIN T. LANDAUER, 27, of 417 Beebe Road , Knox , NY was indicted today on five counts including Manslaughter in the 2 nd Degree, Vehicular Manslaughter in the 2 nd Degree, Criminally Negligent Homicide, and two counts of DWI. Arraignment is scheduled before the Honorable Thomas A. Breslin on Tuesday, October, 4, 2005 . The indictment alleges that on or about June 23 rd, 2005 at approximately 8:10 PM on State Route 443 in the Town of Knox, LANDAUER caused the death one Gary Lehmann. LANDAUER is alleged to have been operating a 1999 F250 Ford Pickup after having consumed a significant amount of alcohol and he was both speeding and driving imprudently. His truck drove across the center lane of the highway and he collided head-on into Mr. Lehmann’s vehicle causing Lehmann’s death. The victim, a scholar visiting from SUNY Binghamton, was traveling to join his wife and three young children for a tenth anniversary party. “This death was as tragic as it was senseless,” said District Attorney Soares.
