Office of the District Attorney Father Sentenced to 19 Years in Prison for Killing Son ALBANY , NY – District Attorney P. David Soares today announced that GLENN VOSBURGH, 44, of Coeymans, NY, was sentenced to 19 years in prison and 5 years post release supervision by the Honorable Stephen W. Herrick. In August, VOSBURGH pled guilty to (1) count of Manslaughter in the First Degree, a Class “B” Violent Felony. “This was truly a senseless act. From all indications, this young man chose to live with his father in order to help him through some difficult times,” commented DA Soares. “But in the end, the very man who was a part of giving Craig life was responsible for taking it away.” On March 16, 2009, at 1934 Route 9W in the Town of Coeymans, GLENN VOSBURGH caused the death of his son, Craig Vosburgh, by shooting him in the back with a loaded Luger, 9mm semi-automatic pistol. Assistant District Attorney David Gonzalez of the Street Crimes Unit handled the prosecution of this case.###
