Office of the District Attorney Mother Pleads Guilty to Reckless Endangerment after Death of Infant Son
Between approximately May 1, 2008 and May 13, 2008, GREGORY MILGO repeatedly and vigorously shook his infant son, born approximately three months prematurely, causing brain hemorrhaging. SASHA POOLE failed to seek prompt and adequate medical assistance for her son after infliction of these injuries. “These convictions, while appropriate, will not bring this child back to our community,” commented DA Soares. “This is a truly sad case. This child arrived on this earth very early and was taken away in the same fashion.” On October 1, 2008, GREGORY MILGO, 29, of Albany, NY, plead guilty to (1) count of Manslaughter in the First Degree, a Class “B” Felony. MILGO faces 18 years in prison when sentenced in November. Under the terms of the plea bargain, POOLE will receive five years probation when sentenced in December. Homicide and Special Victims Bureau Chief Dave Rossi handled the prosecution of this case. For more information, please contact Heather Streeter Orth. # # #
