Office of the District Attorney P. David Soares JUSTIN PATTERSON - CHILD MOLESTER FACES 17 Will be Sentenced Monday, October 17, 2005 before Judge Teresi
ALBANY , NY – District Attorney P. David Soares today announced that JUSTIN LEE PATTERSON, 26, of 441 2 nd Avenue , Troy , NY will be sentenced on two counts of a Course of Sexual Conduct Against a Minor by the Honorable Joseph C. Teresi. He faces 17 years in State Prison with 5 years post release supervision, Registration as a Sex Offender, and a Final Order of Protection for both victims. PATTERSON admitted to having engaged in a course of action with two children aged nine and eleven years in which he had inappropriate and illegal sexual contact with the children including genital contact. DA Soares noted the lengthy sentence saying, “Seventeen years is a very serious sentence. People need to understand that sexual contact with children is a serious crime with very serious consequences. I am pleased that we have removed another sex offender from our community but I urge that we are all vigilant in monitoring the contact between children and adults to ensure that crimes like these are not repeated.” The prosecution of this was handled by the Special Victims Bureau.
