Office of the District Attorney P. David Soares Porco Indicted For Murder ALBANY, NY – District Attorney P. David Soares today announced that CHRISTOPHER PORCO, 22, of Delmar, NY had been indicted and arraigned on a two count indictment charging him with Murder in the 2 nd Degree and Attempted Murder in the 2 nd Degree. The defendant was arraigned before the Honorable Jeffrey Berry. . The indictment alleges that during the early morning hours of November 15 , 2004, CHRISTOPHER PORCO broke into his parent’s home, disabled the burglar alarm and murdered his father and assaulted his mother using an axe. If convicted on both counts, PORCO faces 50 years to life in prison. In announcing the Indictment, DA Soares spoke of the massive investigation that had lead up to it. “Not only has this case been the single greatest focus of my administration as District Attorney but it has benefited from a tremendous team effort lead by the Bethlehem Police Department. In addition to our two lead agencies, there has been support, cooperation, and work performed by over 25 law enforcement agencies and private sector groups.
