Albany Man Indicted for Murder after May 6th Stabbing

ALBANY , NY – District Attorney P. David Soares today announced that CARL TAYLOR, 44, of Albany, NY, was indicted by the Grand Jury on (1) count of Murder in the Second Degree, a Class “A-1” Felony and (1) count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree, a Class “D” Felony.

The indictment alleges that on May 6 th, around 6:10p.m., an argument broke out between TAYLOR and Richard Hagan on Bradford St., in Albany. TAYLOR then stabbed Hagan in the chest with an unknown sharpened object, intentionally causing his death.

TAYLOR is scheduled for arraignment Friday, May 15, 2009. He faces 25 years to life years in prison if convicted of the charges.

Homicide and Special Victims Bureau Chief David Rossi is handling the prosecution of this case.
