Father Indicted for Death of Infant ALBANY, NY – District Attorney P. David Soares today announced that GREGORY MILGO, 29, of Albany, NY, was indicted by the Grand Jury on nine counts including; (1) count of Murder in the Second Degree, a Class “A-1” Felony, (1) count of Manslaughter in the First Degree, a Class “B” Felony, (1) count of Manslaughter in the Second Degree, a Class “C” Felony, (4) counts of Assault in the Second Degree, a Class “D” Felony, and (2) counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a Class “A” Misdemeanor. MILGO faces 25 years to life in prison. The indictment alleges that between approximately May 1, 2008 and May 13, 2008, GREGORY MILGO caused the death of his infant son, born approximately three months prematurely, by repeatedly and vigorously shaking the infant, which caused brain hemorrhaging. Additionally, MILGO failed to seek prompt and adequate medical assistance for the infant after infliction of these injuries. MILGO is scheduled for arraignment on Wednesday, May 28, 2008.
