Office of the District Attorney P. David Soares Indictment of Martin Thomas Higgins ALBANY, NY – District Attorney P. David Soares today announced the indictment of Martin Thomas Higgins,42, of 761 Myrtle Avenue, Albany, NY on one count of Murder in the 2 nd Degree. The Indictment alleges that at 5:00 AM on the morning of May 13, 2005, HIGGINS repeatedly shot Andrew Vanwie in the head using a 22 caliber rifle causing his death during a dispute over a drug sale. HIGGINS will be arraigned before the Honorable Thomas A. Breslin on Friday, May 20 th, 2005. If convicted, HIGGINS faces a maximum of life in prison.
