In response to the death of Peter Kennedy early this morning from suspected steroids related complications, District Attorney P. David Soares made the following statement: “Today we mourn the loss of a hard-working and loved 28-year-old young man who led a full and productive life. On this day, our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends who are struggling with the untimely death of Peter Kennedy. “Mr. Kennedy 's death could have been prevented. I vow to every parent in Albany County, and across the country, that the Office of the Albany County District Attorney will do everything in its power to ensure steroids do not devastate the lives of another family. “The use of illegal steroids is a major public health concern and I urge anyone who is in possession of these drugs, or knows of anyone using these particular drugs, to contact the New York State Department of Health or the District Attorney’s Office to surrender them.” A photo of the drugs recovered from the home of Peter Kennedy is below.
