Sentencing of Debbony Moore and Laquetta Alexander

(Students who harassed teacher)  

ALBANY , NY –  District Attorney P. David Soares announced today that Debbony Moore was sentenced yesterday to 3 years probation and provided with Youthful Offender status by the Honorable William A. Carter.

Laquetta Alexander, however, did not comply with the terms and conditions of her release under the supervision of Probation while awaiting sentencing and was sent to the Albany County Correctional Facility by Judge Carter who adjourned the case until Monday, March 27, 2006 .

Plea bargain as agreed upon:

Read the case of Brown v. Board of Education;

  • Write an essay on the case. Explain why the case is still important today.;
  • Write a letter of apology to Ms. Johnsie Ingram;
  • Write a letter of apology to their classmates;
  • Appear before the Community Accountability Board and comply with their recommendations.
