Office of the District Attorney P. David Soares Guilty Verdict for Billy Ellis
ALBANY, NY – District Attorney P. David Soares today announced the verdict in the trial of BILLY ELLIS, 31, of 171 Livingston Avenue, Albany, NY. ELLIS was found guilty on one count of Assault in the Second Degree, after a trial before the Honorable Stephen W. Herrick. The indictment alleged that on June 27 th 2004, at about 1:00 PM, the defendant participated in a brutal physical attack on the victim. The defendant repeatedly punched and kicked the victim causing a collapsed lung, rib fractures, and a lacerated kidney. Sentencing is scheduled for May 26, 2005.
