Keith Jennings Gets 4 - 12

ALBANY, NY – District Attorney P. David Soares today announced the sentencing of KEITH JENNINGS, 29, of 849 Flushing Avenue, Brooklyn, NY. JENNINGS was found guilty on two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, including one count of intent to sell, after a trial before the Honorable Dan Lamont.

The indictment alleged that on August 18 th, 2004, at about 6:15 PM, the defendant possessed more than half an once of cocaine with the intent to sell. JENNINGS was apprehended by investigators from the Albany County Sheriff’s Department at 34 Hamilton Street in the City of Albany (the Albany bus station). The drugs were contained in twelve separate tin foil packages, each of which contained several smaller quantities with a total street value of approximately $3,000. In a bizarre development, along with the drugs, the bag contained the a partially completed application to become a NYS Corrections Officer filled out by the defendant.

JENNINGS was sentenced to 4 – 12 years in state prison.
