Office of the District Attorney P. David Soares Sentencing for Theresa Ann Pasquale Scheduled for Monday July 18, 2005
ALBANY, NY – District Attorney P. David Soares today announced that THERESA ANN PASQUALE, 42, of 400 Central Avenue, Albany, NY will be sentenced Monday, July 18, 2005 by the Honorable Stephen W. Herrick. Pasquale had pled guilty to Attempted Kidnapping in the 2nd Degree on May 20 th, 2005. The case attracted headlines at the time of PASQUALE’s arrest on March 31, when it was revealed that PASQUALE had been participating in a telephone chat room being monitored by a Cybercrimes unit operated by the FBI. In phone conversations with an undercover FBI agent, PASQUALE indicated that he (he is a pre-op transsexual who previously went by the name of Salvatore) wanted to purchase a child for sex. When PASQUALE went to a meeting place with the cash to pay the $300 price which had been negotiated for the purchase of the mythical child, he was arrested.
