Office of the District Attorney P. David Soares Jason Riddick Indicted For Murder ALBANY, NY – District Attorney P. David Soares today announced that JASON RIDDICK, 23, of 1057 Boynton Avenue, Bronx, NY had been indicted on three counts including Murder in the Second Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second and Third Degrees. He faces a term of 25 years to life in prison. The indictments allege that on or about the 6 th day of July 2005 at 41 Third Avenue in Albany, NY, RIDDICK shot Jihhad Scales multiple times with a handgun, causing his death. DA Soares noted that the shooting took place in a location that is part of the Weed and Seed program in Albany and that the victim had been a participant in the Weed and Seed program himself. “We can and will prosecute JASON RIDDICK as aggressively as the law allows, but we also need to establish a community presence to take the fight against gun violence to the streets,” he said.
