Office of the District Attorney P. David Soares Richard D. Lilkas Sentenced for Drunk Driving and Reckless Endangerment ALBANY, NY – District Attorney P. David Soares today announced that RICHARD D. LILKAS 47, of 51 Tennessee Avenue, Albany, NY was sentenced to the maximum sentence of 1 1/3 to 4 years for Driving While Intoxicated and 1 2/3 to 5 years for Reckless Endangerment by the Honorable Thomas A. Breslin. The Indictment had alleged that on February 17, 2005, LILKAS while driving in an intoxicated condition hit a pedestrian with his car resulting in a fractured left ankle, injury to his left knee requiring surgery, injuries to his left elbow and left shoulder, and other injuries requiring emergency medical treatment, and resulting in substantial pain and suffering. DA Soares said that he was pleased with the sentence. “The message here is, ‘Don’t Drink and Drive in Albany County”, LILKAS is going to serve hard time in State Prison. He deserves it,” he said.
