Colonie Man Pleads Guilty to Gun Possession - District Attorney P. David Soares today announced that AMEEK DAVIS, 24, of Colonie, NY, pled guilty to (1) count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree, a Class “C ” Felony in front of the Honorable Thomas Breslin. In accordance with the terms of the plea bargain, DAVIS will receive 9 ½ years in prison when sentenced February 23, 2009.

Albany Man Sent to State Prison after DNA Recovered on Gun – District Attorney P. David Soares today announced that KANAN TATRO, 21, of Albany, NY, was sentenced to 3 years in prison and 3 years post release supervision by the Honorable Stephen Herrick. TATRO pled guilty to Attempted Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree in November.

David Soares today announced that DAVID OLIVER, 22, of Colonie, NY, pled guilty to (1) count of Attempted Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree, a Class “D” Violent Felony in front of the Honorable Thomas Breslin. In accordance with the terms of the plea bargain, OLIVER faces 4 years in prison and 3 years post release supervision when sentenced on March 6, 2009.

Jermayne Timmons Found Guilty of Murdering Kathina Thomas – District Attorney P. David Soares today announced that JERMAYNE TIMMONS, A.K.A. “MAINE”, 16, of Albany, NY, was found guilty of (1) count of Murder in the Second Degree, a Class “A-1” Felony and (1) count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree, a Class “C” Violent Felony, in front of the Honorable Stephen Herrick. TIMMONS was remanded into the custody of the Albany County Sheriff and faces 15 years to life in prison when sentenced March 5, 2009. |
