79 Year Old man Pleads Guilty to Selling Drugs ALBANY , NY – District Attorney P. David Soares today announced that CHARLES F. RITCHIE, 79 of Selkirk, NY, pled guilty to (1) count of Attempted Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree. Under the terms of the plea bargain, RITCHIE faces one and a half years in prison and one year post release supervision. The indictment alleges that on or about November 2, 2007 at approximately 7:51 P.M., at 402 County Route 101 in the Town of Selkirk, RITCHIE did knowingly and unlawfully attempt to sell a quantity of the narcotic drug crack cocaine to another person. Sentencing for RITCHIE is scheduled for March 12, 2008. Jessica Blain-Lewis from the Street Crimes Bureau handled the prosecution of this case.
