Office of the District Attorney P. David Soares Indictment of Donna I. Dennis ALBANY, NY – District Attorney P. David Soares today announced the indictment of Donna I. Dennis, 53, of Lot 57 Springbrook Mobile Home Park, Clifton Park, NY on Grand Larceny 3, a Class D Felony; Scheme to Defraud in the 1 st Degree, a Class E Felony; Forgery and Possession of Forged Instruments, both Class D Felonies. The Indictment alleges that the defendant, while employed by the State University of New York in the Performing Arts Center, between August 8, 2001 and November 14, 2003, forged disbursement request forms for the University, submitted bogus invoices made out to various payees, and then had the checks sent to her at her office. She then forged the payees’ signatures and deposited them into her own checking account. These bogus checks amounted to $5,861.15. Assistant District Attorney William Andrews praised the combined efforts of the University Police and the DA Office Investigators in preparing the case.
