Office of the District Attorney P. David Soares Sentencing of Fardin Sharifipour ALBANY, NY – District Attorney P. David Soares today announced the sentencing of Fardin Sharifipour, 34, of 30 Hillcrest Village, Niskayuna, NY. On September, 15 th, 2004, the defendant had pled guilty to Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument in the Second Degree, A Class D Felony and Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree, a Class E Felony. Sentencing took place before the Honorable Joseph C. Terisi. Following the terms of the plea agreement, SHARIFIPOUR was sentenced to 3 ½ to 7 years in state prison. Following the conclusion of his prison sentence, SHARIFIPOUR faces deportation to Afghanistan. The multiple count Indictment alleged that the defendant cashed a series of forged checks.
