Office of the District Attorney P. David Soares Indictment of Deidre Keene ALBANY, NY – District Attorney P. David Soares today announced the indictment of DEIDRE KEENE, 43, of 266 Clinton Avenue, Albany, NY on four counts including Assault in the First and Second Degrees, Reckless Endangerment and Criminal Possession of a Weapon. The Indictment alleges that at approximately 3:00 A. M. of October17th, 2004, KEENE took a kitchen knife and stabbed the victim. KEENE plunged the knife into the victim’s chest, lacerating his anterior chest wall and his heart. During the attack, the victim’s tried to defend himself by fending off the knife attack resulting in lacerations to his right hand and his right arm. Bleeding profusely from the chest, the victim managed to get himself to his home where emergency services were called. The victim spent 8 ½ days in Albany Medical Center recovering from his wounds. The stab would in his arm was so severe that an artery had to be transplanted from his ankle to his arm. If convicted, KEENE faces up to 25 years in prison.
