Albany Man Pleads Guilty to Attempted Murder – District Attorney P. David Soares today announced that NEPHREN HOLT, 18, of Albany, NY, pled guilty to (1) count of Assault in the First Degree, a Class “B” Felony in front of the Honorable Thomas Breslin.

Father Sentenced to 18 Years for Death of Infant Son – District Attorney P. David Soares today announced that GREGORY MILGO, 29, of Albany, NY, was sentenced to 18 years in prison and 5 years post release supervision by the Honorable Dan Lamont. In October, MILGO pled guilty to (1) count of Manslaughter in the First Degree, a Class “B” Felony.

Albany Police Officers Cleared in September Shooting – District Attorney P. David Soares today announced that an Albany County Grand Jury cleared Albany Police Officers Robert Schunk and Gregory Krikorian of any wrongdoing surrounding the use of deadly physical force against Travis Telemaque on September 16, 2008.

Partnership with New York National Guard Counter Drug Task Force Leads to Second Guilty Verdict – Albany County District Attorney P. David Soares announced today that DAMION TYRELL, 28, of Patterson, NJ, was found guilty after a jury trial before the Honorable Stephen Herrick. TYRELL faces up to 25 years when sentenced in January.

Colonie Bank Robber Indicted by Grand Jury
– District Attorney P. David Soares today announced that DANIEL C. FREELAND, 62, of Baltimore, MD, was indicted by the Grand Jury on four counts. FREELAND faces 25 years in prison if convicted of the charges.
