Office of the District Attorney P. David Soares Reno Lyons Faces Prison for DV Assault ALBANY, NY – District Attorney P. David Soares announced that RENO B. LYONS, 44, of Albany, NY pled guilty today to one count of Assault in the 2 nd Degree before the Honorable Stephen W. Herrick. He faces two years in state prison and five years post release supervision. Sentencing is scheduled for December 8, 2005. In pleading guilty, LYONS admitted to having struck his victim with a steak knife during a domestic dispute causing an injury to her leg. “Violence between intimate partners and family members is one of the most troublesome and difficult forms of crime to combat. It is the intent of this Office to intervene as early as possible and appropriate through such vehicles as the new Domestic Violence Court.
