Tashawn Tarver To be Sentencted for Rape in the 3 rd

Faces 1 ½ to 3 

ALBANY, NY –  District Attorney P. David Soares announced that TASHAWN TARVER, 33, of 1202 Pleasant Street, Schenectady, NY will be sentenced tomorrow before the Honorable Thomas A. Breslin. He faces a sentence of 1 ½ to 3 years in State Prison.

TARVER was arrested on July 20, 2005 as a result of having been accused by the Schenectady Police Department with having sex with a 14 year old girl that he had met on a telephone chat line. In his confession to a Rape 3 rd Count that he faced in Schenectady, he also admitted to having had sex with the girl in a motel in Albany County leading to the charges he faced here.

This case was handled by the Special Victims Bureau.
