Office of the District Attorney P. David Soares Selkirk Man Pleads Guilty to Sexual Conduct with 8-Year-Old ALBANY, NY – District Attorney P. David Soares today announced that EDWARD BOEHLKE, 33, of Selkirk, NY, pled guilty this afternoon to (1) count of Criminal Sexual Act in the First Degree, a Class “B” Violent Felony before the Honorable Stephen Herrick. On the evening of January 5, 2009, EDWARD BOEHLKE engaged in anal sexual conduct with an 8-year-old boy. BOEHLKE also admitted to engaging in sexual contact with a 7-year-old boy. BOEHLKE was remanded into the custody of the Albany County Sherriff. In accordance with the plea agreement, BOEHLKE will receive a sentence of 18 years in prison and 20 years post release supervision when sentenced October 16, 2009. Additionally, BOEHLKE must register as a sex offender when he is released from prison and a no contact order of protection was issued against the victims.
