Office of the District Attorney P. David Soares ALBANY, NY – District Attorney P. David Soares today announced JAHAD GRAVES, 16, of Albany, NY has plead to Assault in the First Degree, a class “B” Felony. He faces a term of 15 years, 21/2 to 5 years Post Release Supervision. On the early evening of January 10th, 2006, on Northern Boulevard and Colonie Street, Albany, JAHAD GRAVES while in the course of a drug deal, caused serious physical harm to his customer, Robert Wolken of Duanesburg. Mr. Wolken initially survived his serious injuries and later died recovering at home. DA Soares stated today “JAHAD GRAVES is a drug-dealer. The victim drove to Albany to buy drugs. This transaction went wrong. Mr. Wolken lost his life as a result of his addiction and GRAVES will be spending the best years of his life behind bars. Whether it is the supply or the demand side f the drug trade, there are no winners”. GRAVES will be sentenced October 11th, 2006 in front of Hon. Thomas Breslin.
