Oathout Sentenced to Life for Murder ALBANY , NY – District Attorney P. David Soares announced today that CHRISTOPHER OATHOUT, 25, of Watervliet, NY was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison by the Honorable Thomas Breslin. In December, OATHOUT was found guilty by jury of (1) count of Murder in the Second Degree, a Class “A-1” Felony. On October 8, 2006 at 142 State Street in the City of Albany, CHRISTOPHER OATHOUT caused the death of Robert Taylor by means of choking him and stabbing him repeatedly in the chest area. “Mr. Taylor was a vulnerable elderly citizen who was preyed upon by an individual looking to take advantage of him.
