Hilltown Burglar Gets Quick Hit

Faces 4 1/3 – 13    

ALBANY , NY –  District Attorney P. David Soares today announced that ZACHARY QUICK, 24, of 48 Quick Terrace, Fuera Bush , NY , pled guilty today to two counts of Burglary in the 3 rd Degree before the Honorable Thomas A. Breslin.

In pleading guilty, QUICK admitted that on two separate occasions, February 20 th and 22 nd, 2006, he broke into a home in the Town of Berne . In the first burglary he stole three long rifles. In the second burglary he stole an additional three rifles. He subsequently sold these firearms to local gun dealers. Investigators from the Albany County Sheriff’s Department interviewed QUICK in reference to these two burglaries and a series of similar thefts of firearms in the hill towns. During the course of the interview, QUICK implicated himself in the two incidents referenced above.

“The credit in this case goes to the investigators from the Sheriff’s Department who identified the right suspect,” said DA Soares.
