 Repeat Dealer Pleads Guilty to


Selling Fentanyl Pills



ALBANY, NY -  District Attorney P. David Soares announced today that JEFFREY LETZELTER, 38, of Schodack, pleaded guilty to (1) Count of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, a Class B Felony, before Honorable Roger D. McDonough in Albany County Court this morning.

On May 22, 2019, LETZELTER unlawfully sold a quantity of fentanyl to another person in exchange for US Currency while in the City of Watervliet. The fentanyl was disguised as oxycodone pills. LETZELTER was under the Supervision of Parole at the time of the incident.

LETZELTER, who previously served 3 years in State Prison for a 2015 felony drug sale conviction, faces (6) years in State Prison when sentenced on March 6, 2020.

Assistant District Attorney Alexander Scher of the Street Crimes Unit prosecuted this case.
