ALBANY, NY - District Attorney P. David Soares announced today that MARK A. KING, 55, of Albany, was sentenced to 1 to 3 years in State Prison before the Honorable Thomas A. Breslin in Albany County Court yesterday.

On December 4, 2019, KING pleaded guilty to (1) Count of Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the First Degree, a Class E Felony.

On September 25, 2019, at approximately 1:33 P.M., KING was pulled over on Krumkill Road in the City of Albany after an officer observed him driving 17 miles over the posted speed limit. At the time of the stop KING had 26 total suspensions with 23 scofflaw violations on 12 dates, in addition to still being under the supervision of Parole for a prior Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the First Degree conviction.

On October 12, 2017, at approximately 1:12 P.M., on Lower Hudson Avenue in the Village of Green Island, KING admitted to operating his vehicle with a license that had a total of 28 suspensions which were accrued on 13 separate dates. At the time of the incident KING was under the supervision of Parole stemming from a previous driving related conviction. On November 15, 2018, KING pleaded guilty to (1) Count of Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the First Degree, a Class E Felony and was later sentenced to 1 to 3 years in State Prison before the Honorable Thomas A. Breslin in Albany County Supreme Court for that incident.
