Sentencing in Albany Homicide Case



ALBANY, NY - District Attorney P. David Soares announced today that SHAKIR REDMON, 28, of Albany, was sentenced to 7 ½ to 15 years in State Prison, before the Honorable Peter A. Lynch in Albany County Court this morning in relation to his role in the January 2018 homicide of 35 year old Anthony Malloy.

On March 21, 2019, REDMON pleaded guilty to (1) Count of Conspiracy in the Second Degree, a Class B Felony, 2018.

On January 4, 2018, REDMON obtained a vehicle from another for use in carrying out the conspiracy of murder in the area of First and Quail Streets in the City of Albany.

Chief Assistant David Rossi and Assistant District Attorney David Szalda handled the prosecution of this case.
