Guilty Plea in Colonie Grand Larceny Case



ALBANY, NY - District Attorney P. David Soares announced today that JOHN WATSON, 37, of Albany, pleaded guilty to (1) Count of Grand Larceny in the Third Degree, a Class D Felony, before the Honorable Peter A. Lynch in Albany County Court yesterday.

On October 20, 2018, in the vicinity of 1912 Central Avenue in the Town of Colonie, WATSON did steal property that exceeded the value of $3,000.00. Specifically, on the above stated date and location, WATSON did steal a utility truck owned by the New York State Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services worth approximately $100,000.00.

WATSON faces 3 to 6 years in State Prison when sentenced on July 10, 2019.
