The Communications Office provides:

• Public information to local, regional, and national media outlets; and
• Assistant District Attorneys and/or an office spokesperson to ensure that the public receives timely and accurate information about criminal investigations, prosecutions and office-related programs, events, services, and personnel.

The Communications Office releases information to the media for two reasons:

• To comply with requests from media organizations in accordance with public information laws; and
• To inform the public, whom this office serves, about issues of importance to individuals and their communities.

The Office is headed by Heather Streeter Orth, Director of Communications.
