   Guilty Verdict After Jury Trial For DWI 





ALBANY, NY- District Attorney P. David Soares announced today that BARBARA LATHAM, 51, of Westerlo, was found guilty after a jury trial of (2) Counts of Driving While Intoxicated, both Class A Misdemeanors, in Westerlo Town Court on November 13, 2012.


On May 1, 2012, LATHAM was driving on State Route 85 in the Town of Westerlo when a state trooper pulled her over. LATHAM failed several field sobriety tests, and registered a BAC of 0.09%. During the stop, LATHAM admitted to the state trooper that she had consumed seven beers during the course of the evening before operating her vehicle.


LATHAM faces up to 1 year in the Albany County Jail when sentenced on January 8, 2013. In addition, LATHAM faces 3 years of post-release supervision followed by a mandatory installation of an Ignition Interlock Device.
