Office of the District Attorney P. David Soares Two Men Indicted for Stealing Safe and $2 Million from Greenbush Tape in 2003 ALBANY, NY – District Attorney P. David Soares today announced that DWAYNE TOLLIVER of Albany, NY, and LOMA HAYNES of Albany, NY, were indicted by the Grand Jury for the theft of more than $2 million in 2003. TOLLIVER was indicted on (1) count of Grand Larceny in the First Degree, a Class “B” Felony and (1) count of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the First Degree, a Class “B” Felony. HAYNES was indicted on (1) count of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the First Degree, a Class “B” Felony. Both face up to 25 years in prison if convicted of the charges. The indictment alleges that between May 16, 2003 and May 17, 2003, between 6:00 P.M. and 9:00 A.M, at the Office of Greenbush Tape and Label, located at 40 Broadway, 3rd floor, in the City of Albany, TOLLIVER stole property from the Office of Greenbush Tape and Label consisting of a safe containing approximately $2,000,000.00 in bearer bonds and $200,000.00 cash and assorted coin collection, by means of removing the safe from the premises without permission or authority to do so and forcing it open at 91 Alexander Street, Albany. HAYNES assisted TOLLIVER in transporting the safe to Alexander Street where it was cut open with a blow torch and the money split up. TOLLIVER and HAYNES are scheduled for arraignment on Tuesday, September 16, 2008 Financial Crimes Bureau Chief Chris Baynes is handling the prosecution of this case.
