Albany Burglar Sentenced to 25 Years

ALBANY , NY – District Attorney P. David Soares today announced that PHILLIP MORRIS HENRY, 26, of Albany , NY was sentenced to 25 years in Prison. In August, HENRY was found guilty after a jury trial of (5) counts of Burglary in the Second Degree before the Honorable Stephen Herrick.

“This man chose to victimize the people of this county by invading their homes, violating the safety afforded to all citizens and stealing items that the victims have worked hard for. I am very pleased that this man will spend the next quarter century behind bars thinking about the terrible choices he made,” commented DA Soares.

During the month of October, 2006, HENRY broke into five homes in the City of Albany including, 324 Sheridan Avenue, 1 Lawnridge Avenue, 159 Woodlawn Avenue, 638 South Pearl Street and 625 South Pearl Street. During the burglaries, several items including cash, jewelry, clothing and electronic equipment were taken and later sold at pawn shops.
