Office of the District Attorney P. David Soares Albany Man Pleads Guilty to Firing Weapon into Crowd ALBANY , NY – Albany County District Attorney P. David Soares announced today that RAQUAN CHANEY, 20, of Albany, NY, pled guilty to (1) count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree, a Class “C” Armed Felony in front of the Honorable Thomas A. Breslin. In accordance with the plea, CHANEY faces no less than eight years and no more than nine years in prison. On June 24, 2007 at approximately 8:52 P.M. in the vicinity of 463 First Street in the City of Albany, RAQUAN CHANEY knowingly possessed a black H&R .32 Smith & Wesson caliber revolver, and discharged the revolver into a crowd of people.
