Carlton Phoenix Pleads Guilty to Scamming Blind Man

ALBANY , NY – Albany County District Attorney P. David Soares announced today that CARLTON PHOENIX, 46, of Albany, NY, pled guilty to (1) count of Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree, a Class “E” Felony. In accordance with the plea bargain, PHOENIX faces a maximum of two to four years in state prison.

Between the period from February 27, 2007 through March 19, 2007 at various times in the vicinity of 44 Holland Avenue , in the City of Albany , PHOENIX scammed approximately $1,600 from a victim who was promised clothing he never received.
