Office of the District Attorney P. David Soares Dalo Richard Sentenced to 18 Years for Rape of Severely Handicapped Woman ALBANY, NY – Albany County District Attorney P. David Soares announced today that DALO RICHARD, 30, of Albany, NY, was sentenced to 18 years in prison and five years post release supervision by the Honorable Thomas A. Breslin. On August 17, 2007, DALO pled guilty to (1) count of Rape in the First Degree, a Class “B” Felony. During the months of July and August, 2006, at Glenwood Drive in the Town of Colonie, DALO RICHARD did engage in sexual intercourse with a victim who is mentally retarded, legally blind, a spasmodic quadriplegic with limited speech capabilities and as such incapable of consent by reason of being physically helpless.# # # For further information contact: Heather Streeter Orth
