Office of the District Attorney P. David Soares Albany Man Found Guilty of Robbery While on Work Release ALBANY , NY – District Attorney P. David Soares today announced that ERNEST MILES, 43, of Albany , NY , was found guilty of (1) Count of Burglary in the 3 nd Degree after a trial presided over by the Honorable Thomas Breslin. MILES faces a term in State Prison of up to 7 years. Between September 3, 2005 and September 6, 2005 , while absconding from a Department of Corrections work release program, ERNEST MILES knowingly and unlawfully entered Waste Management Inc., located at 1 Gansevoort Street in the City of Albany .
