Office of the District Attorney P. David Soares Albany Man Pleads Guilty to Raping Young Girl ALBANY , NY – Albany County District Attorney P. David Soares announced today that JOSEPH FAULKNER, 34, of Albany, NY pled guilty to (1) count of Rape in the 1 st Degree in front of the Honorable Thomas Breslin. FAULKNER faces 18 years in prison. Between January 1, 2005 and January 31, 2005, in the city of Albany, JOSEPH FAULKNER had sexual intercourse with a 12 years old child, FAULKNER was 31. “This is a crime for which no sentence can make up for the horrendous actions this man has inflicted upon this kid. The life altering event experienced by this innocent young woman will change her life forever and I hope that this defendant serves every day of his eighteen year sentence thinking about the irreparable damage he has done,” commented DA Soares. Sentencing for FAULKNER is scheduled for July 20, 2007.
