Office of the District Attorney P. David Soares Douglas Indicted on Assault Charges ALBANY , NY – District Attorney P. David Soares announced today the indictment of KEITH DOUGLAS, 43, of 10 Ten Broeck Pl, Albany, NY, on (1) count Assault in the Second Degree, a Class “D” Felony, (1) count Unlawfully fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle in the Second Degree, a Class “E” Felony, (1) count Reckless Driving, a Misdemeanor, and (1) count Resisting Arrest, a Class “A” Misdemeanor. On June 12, 2007, at 6:30 p.m. while at the intersection of Orange Street and Lark Street, DOUGLAS did knowingly and unlawfully operate a reportedly stolen vehicle, with a suspended driver’s license, and did pass a red light. DOUGLAS then fled from the police during a routine traffic stop violating numerous traffic infractions. DOUGLAS did operate the vehicle in a reckless manner and struck an 8-year-old boy riding his bicycle in front of 60 Lark Dr. DOUGLAS then fled on foot from the police and was arrested after fighting with them in an effort to prevent his lawful arrest for the charges.
