Crimes of Opportunity on the Rise as Albany Man Indicted for Robbing Cabbie ALBANY , NY – District Attorney P. David Soares today announced that DAVID BARNETT, 20, of Albany, NY, was indicted by the Grand Jury for the robbery of an Albany cab driver. BARNETT was indicted on (1) count of Robbery in the First Degree , a Class “B” Felony and (1) count of Robbery in the Second Degree , a Class “C” Felony. On November 28, 2008 at approximately 12:06 A.M. in the area of Bonheim Street and Hutton Street, in the City of Albany, BARNETT stabbed a taxi cab driver in the chest and stole money from him. BARNETT is scheduled for arraignment on Friday, January 16, 2008.
