Colonie Man Pleads Guilty to Gun Possession ALBANY , NY - District Attorney P. David Soares today announced that AMEEK DAVIS, 24, of Colonie, NY, pled guilty to (1) count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree, a Class “C ” Felony in front of the Honorable Thomas Breslin. In accordance with the terms of the plea bargain, DAVIS will receive 9 ½ years in prison when sentenced February 23, 2009. On June 21, 2008 at 1:04 PM Albany Police were called to investigate a report of a man with a gun. A witness gave officers a description of the suspect who was seen discarding a .22 caliber revolver on Dana Avenue, and his vehicle, a white mustang. Officers apprehended DAVIS on Sheridan Boulevard in possession of 7 grams of crack cocaine. Street Crime Bureau Chief Francisco Calderon handled the prosecution of this case.
