Jovan Underdue Indicted for Murder

ALBANY, NY – District Attorney P. David Soares today announced that JOVAN UNDERDUE, 31, of Albany, NY, was arraigned on five counts including: (3) counts of Murder in the 1st Degree, a Class “A-1” Felony, (1) count of Robbery in the First Degree, a Class “B” Violent Felony and (1) count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree, a Class “C” Armed, Violent Felony by the Honorable Stephen W. Herrick. UNDERDUE pled not guilty and faces life in prison without the possibility of parole.

The indictment alleges that in the early morning hours of January 30, 2008, at 190 Delaware Avenue in the City of Albany, JOVAN UNDERDUE, possessing a loaded firearm, caused the death of Victor Anderson, Keynon Hankins and Bobby Jones by shooting the victims in the head. UNDERDUE then stole property from the victims consisting of a quantity of U.S. currency and/or personal identifications.

Homicide and Special Victims Bureau Chief Dave Rossi is handling the prosecution of this case.
