Office of the District Attorney P. David Soares Philip Morris Henry Guilty of Burglary ALBANY, NY – District Attorney P. David Soares today announced that PHILLIP MORRIS HENRY, 26, of Albany, NY was found guilty after a jury trial of (5) counts of Burglary in the Second Degree before the Honorable Stephen Herrick. HENRY faces 75 years in prison. “I would first like to thank the jury for their service to the citizens of Albany County,” commented DA Soares. “Criminals who choose to victimize the people of this county by invading homes, violating the safety afforded to all citizens and stealing items that the victims have worked hard for will continue to face harsh prosecution by this office. I would also like to urge everyone to be vigilant about the safety of their home while they are at home and while away, especially in the heat we are currently experiencing where windows and doors are often left open. ” During the month of October, 2006, HENRY broke into five homes in the City of Albany including, 324 Sheridan Avenue, 1 Lawnridge Avenue, 159 Woodlawn Avenue, 638 South Pearl Street and 625 South Pearl Street. During the burglaries, several items including cash, jewelry, clothing and electronic equipment were taken and later sold at pawn shops.
