Rensselaer Man Pleads Guilty to Assaulting and Robbing Victim on Morris Street

ALBANY , NY – District Attorney P. David Soares today announced that JUSTIN M. ADAMS, 20, of Rensselaer, NY, pled guilty to (1) count of Attempted Robbery in the Second Degree, a Class “D” Felony in front of the Honorable Stephen Herrick.

On March 8, 2009 at about 4:00 A.M., on Morris Street in the City of Albany, JUSTIN ADAMS, a beat up a male victim and stole his property. Adams attempted to rob another person in the area, but that person was able to get into his car and drive away. That individual then called the police and was able to identify both ADAMS.

Allen Brozowski was indicted by the Grand Jury on (3) Counts of Robbery in the Second Degree, a Class “C” Felony and (1) count of Assault in the Second Degree, a Class “D” Felony. The case against Brozowski remains pending.

Under the terms of the plea bargain, ADAMS faces up to 2 years in prison when sentenced in June and must testify truthfully about the involvement of co-defendant Brozowski

Major Offense Bureau Chief Bruce Lennard is handling the prosecution of both ADAMS and Brozowski.
